What we stand for
The right to asylum on LGBTIQ+ grounds
Persecution based on sexual orientation and gender identity must be effectively recognised and protected in Spain and Europe.
Equal access to public services
Health, housing and social protection without discrimination by origin or identity.
Against the criminalisation of migration
LGBTIQ+ vulnerability should be a factor for protection, not exclusion.
Intersectionality as a principle
LGBTIQ+ policies must incorporate the migration lens, and vice versa. They can’t be separated.
A voice of their own for those affected
They must take part in designing the policies that affect them. ACATHI amplifies those voices.
Mandatory training for professionals
Those who work with migrants need training in LGBTIQ+ diversity.
