Our methodology

Tailored support. Because every story is different.

We don’t work with rigid protocols: we work with people. Our model is comprehensive, flexible and intersectional — it starts by listening, continues by supporting and doesn’t end until the person has the resources to move forward on their own.

What makes this model possible

Supporting from shared experience transforms the helping relationship.

Build trust
Reduce barriers to accessing resources
Foster positive identification
Combat social isolation
Strengthen community networks
Increase personal autonomy
Promote community leadership
The people we support are active agents of social transformation.

Where we support from

Four perspectives that run through all our work.

Intersectional perspective

We take into account the different realities that run through each person and how these can create specific situations of inequality or vulnerability.

Sexual orientation Gender identity Gender expression Migration Administrative status Ethnic or racial origin Age Socioeconomic situation Religion Functional diversity Physical and mental health Deprivation of liberty

Community perspective

We believe in the strength of support networks and in people’s participation to build more inclusive and supportive communities.

Feminist perspective

We work for gender equality and for the elimination of the violence and discrimination affecting women and people with diverse gender identities and expressions.

Human rights approach

We uphold that all people have the same rights and must be able to exercise them under conditions of equality, freedom and dignity.

The four areas of work

Each area responds to a real need. They are all connected.

International protection

We provide support throughout asylum procedures: guidance, interview preparation, case follow-up and defence when rights are violated. Sexual orientation and gender identity are grounds for persecution recognised by the Geneva Convention.

Residential care

We run safe, dignified and inclusive housing for LGBTIQ+ people in emergency situations. Spaces where no one has to hide who they are.

Psychosocial and community support

Individual and group psychological care to strengthen emotional wellbeing and rebuild community bonds. Community heals.

Autonomy and social inclusion

Job guidance, training and support with administrative procedures. We want every person to be able, at some point, to no longer need us. That is our greatest success.
